About Us

Life Education Tanzania is registered as a Non-Governmental Organization under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act, No. 24 of 2002. With a Vision of Changing Lives through Education, having a community with equal opportunities of education,

The organization was founded by the Ian Dunn family from Uk in 2007 when they travelled to the southern and northern Tanzania to see wildlife and its people, guided and hosted by Philip Masonda . 

The Dunn family donated to help purchase land near Dar es salaam.Since then they have connected their friends and families to supported us with funds to refurbish the existing building into classes and water supply to the project site and the community.
In July 2022 Mariona Ureta led a group of 7 volunteers from Spain to come to Kiharaka , to carry on the work of painting classes and toilet block, set up of playing ground for kids to mention a few.

In July 10th 2023, we received visitors from Uk, Elaine Griffen party with a big supply of Montessori teaching materials, balls and clothes for kids and they donated funds which has supported us greatly in the expansion of the school project at Watoto Wetu Day care School.
Another group of 7 volunteers from Spain was sent to Kiharaka by Mariona urete, led by Iren and Reuben. They arrived in August 2023 to finalize with the classes set up furniture’s, brought Montessori teaching materials and start the Day care center running under the supervision of the Life Education Tanzania.

Our target is to see Children from lower income families and others get access to education, as a life changing opportunity.
Our Mission is to give neglected children the opportunity to make their own life decisions by providing support through education, workshops and training.
